Nursery

One of SMBC’s most important ministries is our nursery which provides a safe and fun enviroment while the adults attend the worship services. Parents can feel at ease knowing that their children are safe and well taken of. The nursery is able to care for newborns through toddlers. SMBC’s nursery is located in the heart of our elementary educational building across from rooms 204 & 205.

Wigglin’ Worship

The children’s church program at SMBC is appropriately called “Wigglin’ Worship”. Each Sunday during the late morning service our children 4 years old through 2nd grade are able to have their own worship service. Each week may include a game, craft, object lesson, and Bible verse readings, but Wigglin’ Worship always includes a Bible lesson and one of the children’s favorite things – snack time. Wigglin’ Worship meets in room 205.

AWANA

Sheets Memorial runs the AWANA program on Sunday nights throughout the school year. Along with games and activities, our AWANA kids learn Bible verses and Bible facts as part of their training in the program. Sheets Memorial offers AWANA to 2 year olds through 6th grade. AWANA starts on Sunday nights at 5:45pm in the school’s gym.

Little Lambs

Little Lambs is a special program for ages 3 and 4 year olds and is held on Wednesday night allowing parents to take part in the Wednesday evening prayer service. Bible stories and lessons are taught so that this influential age group can understand the truths of Scripture. Little Lambs meet in room 204 across from the nursery.

Kids Choir

The Children’s Choir at Sheets Memorial (Off-Key Kids) is a Wednesday night choir program for 5 year old Kindergarteners through 5th graders. Off-Key Kids prepares a variety of skits and music for the Annual Christmas Program as well as a spring program in April that features just the choir. Off-Key Kids meets in the school’s Band Room which is to the left of the church’s back parking lot.

Kids Night Out

Kids Night Out (KNO) meets once a month that provides child care for parents of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. This gives our children a fun and safe atmosphere to get together and have fun while at the same time provides parents with their own night out. KNO meets on the third Saturday of every month (except December) from 4:30-8:30pm in the Sheets Memorial Christian Preschool’s gym. The Preschool is located across Raeford Drive in front of the school’s soccer field.
