Frankie Matthews
Frankie Matthews first came to Sheets Memorial Baptist Church as the youth pastor in 1983. After serving as youth pastor for seven years he accepted the call to be the senior pastor here at Sheets. Frankie also serves on the board of Baptists Equipping Nationals (BEN). August 23, 2010 marked Frankie’s 35th wedding anniversary to his wife Edith. Frankie and Edith have two sons: Nic and Zac. Zac is married to Mary Beth and together, they have one son, Waylon Gray! Frankie balances the rigors of ministry by practicing pugilism, martial arts, and pretty much anything outdoors. (Birthday: 7/16 & Anniversary: 8/23)

Associate Pastor of Music
Paul Sprouse
Paul starting working as Sheets Memorial’s minister of music in July of 2010. He is married to Becky Sprouse and together they have a daughter, Aleana Lynn, and a son, Andrew Richardson. Along with his responsibilities as music minister of the church, Paul also teaches and oversees the music department at Sheets Memorial Christian School. Paul enjoys reading, watching/playing sports, being with all of his family, and of course, doing anything with music. (Birthday: 6/9 & Anniversary: 12/29)

Associate Pastor of Youth
Tim Anderson
Tim joined the staff of SMBC as youth Pastor in January of 2010. Tim is married to Stacie Anderson. Together, they have one daughter, Morgan Noelle and are expecting a son to arrive soon. Along with his youth pastor responsibilities, Tim also coaches the varsity boys basketball team for Sheets Memorial Christian School. Tim loves to play basketball and watch sports. He also enjoys spending time hunting and doing anything that is outside. (Birthday: 7/28 & Anniversary: 9/4)

SMCS School Administrator
Ethan Woodward
Ethan Woodward serves as the school administrator of Sheets Memorial Christian School. Before taking that position, he was the youth pastor at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He has been at been at Sheets since June of 2004. Ethan and his wife Megan have been married for 8 years and have one daughter (Eden), one son (Elijah) one dog, (Kenai, 4) and one cat (Phoebe 1). They are also expecting a new arrival in the spring of 2012. Ethan loves to travel, practices photography, relishes playing chess, loves anything to do with basketball, and also enjoys a good camping trip. (Birthday: 9/29 & Anniversary: 6/15)

Administrative Assistant
Edith Matthews
Edith has served as administrative assistant since 1990. Originally from Colfax, NC, she and her husband (who also happens to be the Pastor) worked in the AWANA & youth programs at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA. When not keeping the church office running, Edith enjoys working out and spending time with her family, and especially loves being “MiMi” to her grandson, Waylon Gray! (Birthday: 6/5 & Anniversary: 8/23)
Facilities Director
Barry Burleson
Barry Burleson serves as the Facilities Director at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. As facilities director he is responsible for the oversight and every day maintenance of the church and school. Barry has been with Sheets since May 2008. Barry and his wife Cindy have been married for 24 years and have three children: Chris, Meagan, and Dalton. He is also a proud veteran of the United Sates Marine Corp (1971-1973). He is involved in coaching baseball and soccer here at Sheets and loves participating and watching all sports. He also loves to sing at his church and other churches around the area. (Birthday: 1/20 & Anniversary 10/4)
