Will my child be prepared for college when they graduate from SMCS?

Yes! SMCS is a college prepatory school and our curriculum is specifically planned to prepare students for higher education. SMCS also follows all of the state of North Carolina requirements for High School graduation and 96% of our graduates go on to pursue higher education. The following are just a few of the colleges/universities that our graduates have been accepted at.

Will my child be sheltered at SMCS?

Our mission at SMCS is to produce students who are balanced in all areas of their life. We believe SMCS offers the perfect balance between protective nurturing and careful exposure that is intended to develop strong leaders for the Lord. Throughout their time here at SMCS students will be exposed to a number of different things that will stretch them socially, academically, and spiritually. Many of our students are involved in service work, missions trips, and extra-curricular activities that purposely place them in situations outside their comfort zone. These things all help students develop into well balanced invidivuals that can shine as lights for the Lord wherever He may lead them.

Is my tuition due all at once?

No. Although there is a discount for paying in full (2% if payed by Aug 10th) many families choose to have their payments separated into 11 monthly installments. The first payment would be due in July of the coming school year and the last would be due in May.

What sports do you offer?

We offer an intramural elementary sports program that is designed to teach students the basics of the given sport. Soccer is offered in the fall, basketball in the winter, and baseball/softball in the spring.
At the Middle School/High School level we offer a full inter scholastic athletic program. The following are the options that are available.
Fall: Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer
Winter: Basketball (JV & Varsity - boys/girls)
Spring: Boys Baseball, Girls Soccer, Girls Softball
SMCS is part of the North Carolina CHristian School Athletic Association (Division II)

What are the school hours?

School hours are from 8:10am to 2:35pm

Do you have before/after school care?

Yes. Supervised before school care opens at 7:00am. After school care is open from 2:45 til 6:00pm. See rate sheet for before/after school care charges.

Do you accept government tuition/preschool vouchers?

No. We do not accept government vouchers.
